During the Wei and Jin dynasties, the clothing style often featured cross-collared and wide-sleeved garments with large cuffs. The complete attire consisted of shirts, jackets, and skirts. Notably, the skirts were elegantly long, gracefully trailing along the ground. The upper portion of the attire was simple while the lower portion was more elaborate. The primary fashion styles during that period were known as Jin Ru晋襦and Za Ju 杂裾.

At Hanfu Story, you can experience the rich beauty of Chinese tradition and connect with the past through hanfu.

Care Instructions

How to care for your Hanfu?

Washing:

  • Hanfu garments are mostly delicate, especially those with embroidery, so handwashing is preferred.
  • If you choose to machine wash, use the gentlest cycle and place the garment in a laundry bag for protection.
  • After washing, hang the Hanfu indoors in a well-ventilated area to dry.
  • Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight to prevent color fading.

Storage:

  • Store your Hanfu in breathable fabric garment bags to protect it.
  • Avoid hanging Hanfu for long periods, as it may stretch the fabric. Instead, carefully fold the garments and store them flat or stack them neatly in a storage container.
